Nyx retractable lip liner
I was totally against retractable lip liners when they first started gaining popularity, but this one made me change my mind.. and I swear it will for you too. Nyx lip liners are some of the best in the drugstore market (if not, THE best) and super affordable too. My favourite shade right now is ‘Nude Pink’ and it’s become a holy grail product for me. It never leaves my bag. It’s really creamy and soft to apply, MUCH easier than applying a pencil lip liner imo, and stays on for hours. All I do is add a bit of lip balm after and I’m set to go!
NYX matte bronzer
Another great product I’m loving from nyx is their matte bronzer. When the cooler months arrive, I prefer wearing matte bronzers over shimmery ones. This one gives a beautiful and healthy bronzed complexion. It’s very buildable, so you can opt for a softer glow or a ‘just got back from vacay’ vibe.
Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder
Houglass is one of my favourite beauty brands and even though I am still loyal to the Laura Mercier translucent powder, I have been reaching for this hourglass one even more. It really blurs my imperfections (fine lines and pores) without altering the colour of my makeup. It's by far the most lightweight setting powder I've ever used, almost silky. You can’t even feel it. It doesn’t cause any white cast. I also really love that the container has a sifter which dispenses the perfect amount unlike many other powders which become so messy.
Dior Backstage Foundation
A foundation for the face and body in 40 shades with broken down into different undertones, this was probably one of the most exciting launches of the past year! I was super excited to try this one and it definitely lived up to my expectations. It has a natural, matte finish and medium, buildable coverage that's waterproof and sweat-resistant. I was most impressed by the extensive 40 shade selection so you can really find a true match to your skin. The coverage is actually quite light and the consistency is fluid, but it is very buildable. I prefer a medium to full coverage so I do have to layer it, but it doesn't go cakey AT ALL. It maintains a super radiant and beautiful finish.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I should start this by saying that I could potentially be allergic to this mascara and it STILL hasn’t stopped me from using it – lol. I’ve been using this mascara nearly everyday for 6 months now and am pretty obsessed. It’s so difficult for me to find a good mascara because my lashes are heavy and long but don’t curl easily. It builds really easily so you don’t need a lot to get those full volume lashes (2 coats is where the magic happens), it’s stays on the drier side so it wont clump and lasts ALL day. Basically, it’s my ride-or-die.
